Nasya
Nasya is one of the fundamental panchakarma procedures. The word Nasya is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Nasa’ meaning nose, this is the procedure in which medicated oils, ghees, decoctions, powders, etc are administered into the body via the nasal passage.
It is also used for daily administration as part of a healing Ayurvedic routine.
Nasya can be beneficial for various disorders, including:
- Mental-emotional imbalances
- Memory issues
- High-stress levels
- Sleep issues
- Chronic sinus issues
- Prana disorders
- Chronic headaches or migraines
- Stiffness in the neck, jaw, or shoulders
- Eye, ear, and throat disorders

- Residual doshic imbalance after cleansing treatments
Contraindications:
- Avoid Nasya during pregnancy, menstruation, and when experiencing congestion or a foggy/cloudy day.
- Always perform any panchakarma procedures under the guidance of a qualified Vaidya only.
